Gems that embellish this Art Jewelry

Amazonite

Amazonite, also known as the Stone of the Amazon, is a gem with mythological origins and deep philosophical symbolism. Its name is intrinsically linked to its discovery in the depths of the Amazon River, one of the most mysterious and fascinating rivers in the world.

According to legends and ancient stories, indigenous tribes inhabiting the dense forests near the Amazon River used Amazonite as a sacred stone. It was believed to possess magical and protective powers. These tribes adorned their shields with Amazonite to invoke its energy and protect themselves from the dangers of the jungle. Additionally, the stone was used to heal physical and emotional wounds, providing strength and harmony to its bearers.

From a philosophical standpoint, Amazonite symbolizes a deep connection with nature and ancestral wisdom. It invites us to explore our connection to the Earth, reminding us that we are part of a larger system, interconnected with all living beings and the natural world.

Amazonite inspires us to seek inner balance and harmony, just as it is part of the ecological balance of the Amazon rainforest. It reminds us that, like the trees of the jungle, we are resilient beings capable of growth, healing, and thriving amidst life's challenges.

Amethyst

The Tale About The Amethyst

Dionysus was drinking to defeat sobriety and the boredom he brought along with him.
Yet even that was not enough to dispel the apathy he felt that morning. Until something caught his eyes...

It was the beautiful young Amethyst, who walked towards the temple of Artemis - goddess of chastity and purity. Enchanted by the beauty of the mortal girl, Dionysus spied on the contours of the beautiful maiden while drinking his wine...

He no longer felt boredom, now it was something different that filled his body. He took another sip from his chalice, and staggering, entered the temple.

Amethyst paid tribute to the goddess and offered her prayers...

When Dionysus, overtaken by an uncontrollable desire, leapt upon her body and forced himself onto the maiden. The scent of sweet wine filled the place.

Desperate, Amethyst struggled futilely, trying to prevent the advances of the god. The more she resisted, the more Dionysus raged and desired her.

In a final breath, she pleaded for the intervention of her goddess, whom she had come to worship.

Artemis, in an impulsive act, to protect the chastity of her faithful or perhaps out of jealousy - we will never know, transformed the young woman into a white quartz stone. Amethyst's purity was preserved, but at the cost of her life.

Seeing what his uncontrollable impulse had done, Dionysus knelt before the object of his downfall and wept purple tears in remorse... coloring the tragedy he had caused with purple.

Moral of the story: Amethyst, personified in the young Amethyst of the story, reflects the philosophical symbolism of the struggle between unrestrained desire and the pursuit of inner purity.

The figure of Dionysus, god of wine and excess, represents the relentless pursuit of immediate satisfaction and the escape from sobriety, symbolizing human impulses.

The apathy and boredom Dionysus felt before meeting Amethyst represent the dissatisfaction we often experience when trying to fill our lives with fleeting pleasures.

The beauty of the mortal maiden stirred in him an uncontrollable desire, symbolizing temptation and the challenges we face in seeking self-control and moderation.

Amethyst's resistance and her efforts to thwart Dionysus' advances symbolize the inner struggle we all face in resisting impulses and temptations that can lead us to suffering. Her supplication to Artemis, goddess of chastity and purity, represents the search for spiritual guidance and protection in moments of weakness.

Amethyst's transformation into a white quartz stone at the hands of Artemis is an act of spiritual purification, symbolizing the preservation of inner purity at any cost. Dionysus, on the other hand, experiences deep remorse, personifying repentance and the search for redemption.

Therefore, Amethyst, represented by the tale of young Amethyst, invites us to reflect on the importance of moderation, self-control, and the pursuit of inner purity. She is a reminder that, even in the face of life's temptations and unrestrained impulses, we can find spiritual clarity and inner peace, coloring our journey with the wisdom that emerges from overcoming challenges.

Green Tourmaline

With its rich philosophical symbolism and mythological origin, reveals a profound connection to healing, spiritual growth, and vitality. Its transcendent history and meaning can be explored as follows:

The mythological origin of Green Tourmaline is shrouded in legends and beliefs that span centuries. In ancient Egyptian civilization, it was believed that Tourmaline gained its various colors by traveling through a rainbow during its journey from the earth to the sun. This mythical journey bestowed upon Tourmaline its wide range of colors, and the stone was seen as a connection between the earthly realm and the spiritual realm.

Green Tourmaline, with its dazzling green color, symbolizes healing, growth, and vitality. It teaches us to find balance in our lives, restoring energies and harmony on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. Its vibrant green is associated with healing and rebirth, considered a protective amulet that wards off negative energies and provides tranquility.

The stone is seen as a channel of luck and prosperity, attracting good fortune. Its ability to purify and cleanse energies around it makes it a valuable ally for meditation and spiritual seeking. It invites us to seek serenity and abundance, reminding us that nature offers powerful tools for our inner well-being and spiritual journey.

Lapis Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli, a stone that has long captivated the imagination of ancient civilizations, has a rich mythological origin and philosophical symbolism that transcends its incomparable beauty.

Since ancient times, Lapis Lazuli has been considered more than just a stone; it was seen as a fragment of the gods' own flesh. Its deep blue and golden veins, resembling stars in the night sky, contributed to this reputation. Various cultures, including the Egyptians, Babylonians, Minoans, Chinese, Greeks, and Romans, revered this blue stone as a symbol of great importance.

A notable legend recounts that King Solomon received a Lapis Lazuli ring from an angel, allowing him to control an army of demons to build his temple. Modern scholars believe that many biblical references to sapphire may have actually been about Lapis Lazuli.

In Buddhism, Lapis Lazuli is considered essential for freeing oneself from negativity and seeking inner peace. The Sumerians believed that the spirits of their gods resided within the stone, while the ancient Egyptians saw it as a symbol of the night sky and a powerful amulet against evil forces.

Throughout time, Lapis Lazuli has been associated with attributes such as strength, courage, royalty, wisdom, intellect, and truth. Its deep blue color symbolizes the power of the night sky and the pursuit of knowledge, while the golden veins running through it resemble the shimmer of stars, connecting the earthly with the divine.

From a philosophical standpoint, Lapis Lazuli invites us to seek truth and wisdom, to free our minds from negative influences, and to embrace inner peace. It is a symbol of the connection between man and the divine, a window to knowledge and the courage to face challenges. Lapis Lazuli is therefore a stone that inspires us to elevate our spirits and explore the infinite world of intellect and spirituality.
